Good morning all
Just setting up a new chat thread for July. If you would like to catch up on June's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for:
Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Hi Kate, I've been through Cairnryan many times and up the coast through Ayr etc then inland to Glasgow where my daughter studied at university for 3 years. Sometimes we stayed in Glasgow and other times we went to Loch Lomond.
Even more reason to go to Glasgow now as my son and his wife live there. Plus, they are the ones who are expecting their first child so we will see them a few times, depending on whether Mrs Tvman is able to travel.

Stella2020 to highlight someone’s name you use the @ button, then the persons name.
It will bring up a box with all the peoples names from that thread, click on the correct name and it will insert it. For some reason it doesn’t always work on my iPad, but works fine on my iPhone. X
Thanks Chelle!
Every day is a school day! I did wonder how to do this.
xxx Kate
Thanks Lucy, we do have a few holidays and events planned, but you know what, keeps getting in the way, but we're managing weekends away, and days out, I'd managed to clear my calendar, for a couple of longer breaks, but saw my GP yesterday evening, who conspiring with my oncologist want me to have 2 scans, 2 oscopy's and a Xray soon, I also got myself locked in at my GP surgery, so not a good day

Awww, sweetheart I'm so sorry to hear about your mum, but it's wonderful you still have her in your life, and remember, mums always right, so maybe she knows something you don't, and WhatsApp family groups are the best thing about the Internet, who needs soaps.

Hi Tvman, sorry you don't have a Maggies, the M+C course was fascinating, as was meeting others with the same issues. I also found marnys.com-memory-and-concentration. information helpful.
Exercising your mind is a great idea, we weren't directed to anything as grand as a Uni course, but to pick a group of people, important to you, family, and a few facts about them, and remember them, I started off with 37 closest family, I needed a photo of each of them due to my aphantasia, which didn't help, and gradually added to the list, so there are over 80 now, all the info doesn't always roll of the tongue, but with a little word association I can remember, fatigue is a pain my friend, and I can't imagine how your haemochromatosis compounds it, do they treat your blood, or take medication?, anyway best wishes with the astronomy course, I'm sure your passion for the subject will be a big plus point, in getting all you want from the course, but good luck anyway.

Hi Chelle, you're welcome my friend, if I remember correctly the course was over 5 weeks, and I believe each session was 2.5 hours, with a cognitive psychologist, talking to others with the same issues was also very helpful, PS, we had to wait until enough people had signed up for the course, before it started, good luck

Gosh eddiel I don’t think I could concentrate for 2 and a half hours! The most frustrating thing for me, apart from short term memory, is holding the information. I used to love to read, and when I stopped working I was looking forward to having time to just sit and read. Now if I read a page, I cannot tell you what I just read. It is so frustrating!
Hi Stella, just 5 days to go, before the big off, wonderful, remember if you want to get closer to the wildlife, you must stop washing now as soaps and perfumes scare them away lol, we're hoping/planning to go to NI in late August, when the kids are back at school, Sheila, Emma and Amelia are possibles, but my cancer pals at Aurora are keen, as we've been trying to get away as a group for a year, and late August suits most of us.
Stella, I have friends who have been to Canada to see the autumn colours, which are wonderful, but some of them have also been to see the autumn colours in China, which they said were the best
