Good morning all
Just setting up a new chat thread for July. If you would like to catch up on June's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for:
Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Hi Angie, Yes the atmosphere is one you have to experience to realise how it feels. It is amazing. I have been five times and it was amazing each time! It must be very difficult playing against your best friend! Yes two lovely sportsmen indeed.
I did notice how thin Kate was looking but beautified too as was her daughter. I thought it was nonsense having a boy of that age in a shirt & tie on such a hot day, he didn’t look comfortable!
Love Annette x
Good morning. It is a lot cooler today and forecast rain. My grass looks like it could be in South Africa because that what it looks like most of the time over there. I hope you are enjoying Greece Lucy, I worked there for a while a long time ago. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you for tomorrow Stella. I hope you enjoy your safari, where are you going in Zambia? I have two appointments tomorrow, one for the rash/sores which are looking a lot better and one to be assessed for the spinal brace and CT scan on Thursday for my radiotherapy. I guess we are all getting to know our hospitals pretty well. I bet Lilly and Winston are enjoying the cooler weather today as my four are . Hugs to all.

Afternoon All
Started to rain here not heavy just right walking up and down the the estate, I wish.
Yesterday was full on, hair cut in the , morning, another visits from the hospice, Lovely Lady.
Son phoned early evening 90mins good chat.
I phoned Macmillan needed few questions answered.
Hope every one is doing the best they can.
I was told i am to do nothing, well thats not me, so one job a day and have just washed kitchen flood, i need a bit of normality back on my life.
x
The importance of normality is not appreciated by medical professionals at times but for me it’s the thing which keeps me going
I spend time with friends who just treat me exactly like they did before my diagnosis , talking about life in general and not cancer rubbish (unless I raise the subject)
We can’t do everything we did before but we are still us and it’s important to hold on to that
Just my opinion and not trying to judge anyone else - we all do whatever suits us as we ride the rollercoaster
Lots of love Lucy xxx
Hope you are having a fabulous time in Greece Lucy. I agree with you about being ‘normal’. Nowadays I don’t really think about cancer at all until it is chemo day. I think cancer has taken enough from me, I don’t want to give it any more of my time/ energy.
Had lunch with friends today which was lovely. Thankfully it had rained a bit today.
Thank you everyone for your well wishes. Everything crossed for tomorrow x
Hi Ellie
Some doctors don't understand that we do the normal everyday tasks and that is good for our mental health to complete something then sit back and be proud.
What with my back pain I could easily refuse to do anything and no one would expect me to do normal jobs but that's not me. I'm going to clean my fish tank now because there's a little algae on the bottom and a couple of other items in the tank. Well, more than a little. I'd normally be outside in the garden but it's raining stair rods at the moment.
Be happy Ellie
