Good morning all

Just setting up a new chat thread for July. If you would like to catch up on June's chat you can click herePlease note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.

The chit chat thread is for:

Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!

  • Hi Tvman, long time no chat, haven't been able to get on here for a while,  kept wanting me to change my password, so I gave up in the end.

So pleased for your news, new grandchild for new year, congratulations to you and your family.

As for me, still cancer free yay, but had a bit of a mental thing, it's only resently I've started to feel like me again. I hope you and Mrs Tvman are both doing good. It's good to be back. Take care. XX

  • Hi Jacquie

It must be really scary for you with such bad reactions to the trial drug. Hope cycle 3 would be much better and controlled.
I would love to see your garden too. I only developed an interest in gardening after my diagnosis. It is a lot more relaxing than dentistry. Laughing
Heatwave starts tomorrow so I have better get working in the garden soon.
Eddie hope all your appointments go smoothly today. Little Mandy is not too much a handful?
Have a good day everyone xx

  • Hi Fill a bit, more like myself, only the last coupe weeks after what went threw.

Memory was shoot, did not even know how to switch tv on or this laptop, have posted notes every where, like being at school and having to start from scratch.

Do not fill like I did at start of year, though better like me from a couple of weeks ago.

Onwards and Upwards, is the only w to go

  • Morning Stella, please don’t let your father’s thoughtless remarks get to you.  Sometimes illness, and the effects connected with it, show us what people are made of. When I had to have my mastectomy my partner of 10 years walked away. Don’t get me wrong, we have had a lovely time together ( separate homes of course ) but it just brought it to my mind that unconditional love is not something you bump into around every corner. Lucky me I have got Lilly and she doesn’t care if I am pink with purple dots, not exactly streamline etc. You have your lovely Mum, Craig and of course Winston and to heck with people who just like to criticise, they are not worth our tears. Took me a while to realise that but made me a far happier ‘not perfect’ person . All my love to you and everyone else on this chat

    Angie and Lilly xx

  • Welcome back  I think you may have a lot of catching up to do! Good to see you posting again x

  • Stella, that was such an awful comment from your father. You have 2 choices, ignore him and his very stupid comment, and put it out of your mind. Or you confront him! Tell him how much his thoughtless comment effected you, and maybe if he took one ounce of interest in your life and your cancer journey, he would maybe understand why you look “different “ now. I know which one I would chose, but you only you can decide which one will make you feel better. Xx sending hugs
