Good morning all
Just setting up a new chat thread for July. If you would like to catch up on June's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for:
Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Hiya Patrick. So glad you have a free week and can take advantage of this fine weather, even in a small way.
I tend to hide from the sun and nasty insects but yesterday was so hot I found a nice shady area under the honeysuckle and sat reading, as the evening drew in and the midges came I lit my new citronella candle and it actually worked..haha
Good luck for next week, a gruelling 4 appointments. Let's hope it's cooler for you.
You'll have to invest in a neck fan, they are brilliant, especially in a hot hospital
Hugs and love
Hi Fleabane, haven't seen so much of you for a while. Hope you are feeling well.
This is when I make most of you jealous, we had rain last night at 8pm and again during the night. Today is overcast with the threat of rain.
Now on a bright note. Our elder son and his wife were over from Glasgow for a few days last week and on the first night at the dinner table he showed us the book that he was reading but then he produced two small black and white photos that were in it and I thought to myself, are they what I think they are? They were. Two photos of a foetus. Our daughter in law is pregnant, they have been trying for years and now they have been so lucky. Baby is due at the end of December and we are aware of what could happen. Happened to us and more recently his brother, our younger son.
So potentially, we're going to have another grandchild! Mrs Tvman and I are so happy and so pleased for them.
Tvman xx
Hiya TVman and Mrs TVman. Congratulations on your amazing news. What a wonderful surprise for all. What a happy start to next year it will be with a new little bundle of joy (well most of the time ) to live and care for. Have a good week. Love from

Morning Fleabane, how nice to see you posting. We had torrential rain last night and the temperature here is only about 14 to 15 today with showers forecast for later. Quiet week without any appointments for me, hooray. Have a good week, love

Rain? What's rain? Hahaha...yes glum here today, very humid. Just doing a few chores, very tired but needs must. I am a little behind because of scan, oncologist yesterday.

So just the breakfast pots to do then I'll rest for the remainder of the day
