  • Good afternoon to you all. TVman, Stella and Ellie, hope all your results are what you wish for and treatments are going well. Eddie how are you and Lesley getting on? Hope you have your feet up with a cup of raspberry tea. Cool and intermittently wet here today. I have started my Christmas shopping today (as always I begin around this time of year). Lego and Playmobil have such great sale prices around this time. As a norm I am mostly done by the end of October and can sit back and relax. I started this when I got diagnosed the first time round, because I wanted to have something for my loved ones for under the tree, even if I was not around anymore. Just kept it going and it has become part of my yearly  List to do  activities.  Stella , has Winston got into a huff yet ? Wishing everyone a pleasant afternoon and cosy night in.

    love Angie and Lilly xx

  • Awww Angie, we all love a bargain, why not get twice as much for your money, and avoid the Christmas madness as well, and it's good to know I'm not the only one to plan ahead for birthday's and Christmas,"just in case,"

I'm on my 4th raspberry tea, and all today's jobs are done, I called Lesley earlier, she's good, as am I, not sure what if anything Sheila and I are doing today, other than walking the dogs.

It's a busy few days, but free on Friday and planning on going to Trentham Gardens, to meet up with our youngest and hopefully the twinsGrinning , if it's not too hot for them.

Have a lovely afternoon my friend.

    love Eddie and Sheila xx

  • Good day

Thank you for all your support. I had my CT this morning without any issues. However, the Nuffield hospitals radiology software was hacked? So for 3 weeks they were not able to see the scan remotely. The consultants have to go to the CT scan room to see it! Hopefully they are catching up on things and mine will be read by the 24th.

I am just trying to get myself sorted for the holiday. However I ordered 2 roses (Rosa Persica) even though there is no space for them. So now have to go shopping for pots for them. They are the more ecological roses, better disease resistance and tolerate dry weather better too.

Alana : Winston is not happy with Craig. He is ignoring him completely!

Weather is definitely improving here. Hope sunshine for everyone x

  • Awww  Stella , that's awful,  your hospital has been hacked, but thankfully a 15 day wait for results isn't too bad,  but won't you be on your holiday at that time, and will you still be able to access them?. I hope they bring you the good news you deserve my friend.

Rosa Persica, is fab, I do prefer the species ones, more subtle and wildlife friendly, and as you said, can look after themselves really well,.

Not long now till your off to Italy, and your not ready, why do you girls take so long, 30 minutes is enough for me lol.

  • Good afternoon everyone, I’m not usually here at this time of day but wanted to see how everyone got on.

Vince had a scope this morning. They said the surrounding area of the bladder looked clear but the wound where they removed the tumours still had a crust over it so they will do another scope in 2 months & by then they should be able to see area properly. They said it was a large wound so it is normal for it to take extra time to heal. They apologised saying they ordered the scope for 6 weeks rather than the usual 8 weeks in the hope they could give us good news before our holiday. I said, no news IS good news! Onwards we go!

Bye the way it had been raining here most of the weekend and today we have more rain and a Hi of 14C. Last week was similar and really so cold at night we’ve had our heating on…….in JUNE! It is meant to be summer!

    Love Annette x

  • Hi Eddie

I decided to have the result after my holiday just in case is not good news and ruining my holiday. I am due for a chemo break anyway so it doesn’t really matter when I know the results.

There are nails to be done, new clothes to be purchased, sunscreen etc. It is going to be rather warm so new dresses are needed!

Hope you have a wonderful time with the twins x

  • Understood my friend,  but why shouldn't you get good news, we do sometimes.

That's a lot of new clothes to get before your holiday, have fun shopping for them and don't forget a lovely sun hat, and thank you, we'll have a wonderful time with the little ones, as I hope you do as well.
