Good morning all everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for June. If you would like to catch up on May's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for:
Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.
If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment.
Good evening Eddie
I am glad you are back home now. Everything crossed for Lesley’s scan tomorrow. It would be great to get away. I am having my Ct scan on Monday and going away on the 15th. Hopefully nothing will happen to stop me from going. X
Thanks Stella, and best wishes for your scan as well, and with getting away on time, and hopefully nothing stops any of us from our plans.

Good for you, I’m sure all three of you will have a great time! It is fantastic you are going for luxury, you all deserve a bit of pampering. I’m wondering what sort of style your hairdresser recommended. I’m going for a cut and blow dry this week as we go on holiday on 22nd. This one is near Scarborough and Filey but at the end of September we are going to Salou as it is too hot for us at this time of year! Have a great time.
Stella, I hope you and your mum are splashing out on some luxury too, why not, you deserve it too. You are so very lucky still having your mum around, my mum died when I was 19 and m y dad six years later. Take lots of photos!
Love Annette x
Hi Annette
In fact my hairstyle is the same - just below my shoulders. My hair loss was mainly on the top and back so she’s left it pretty much the same . She coloured some of the new hair strands so it all blends in more and showed me how to best dry the short new hair so that it doesn’t ping out at weird angles which it tries to do
I’ve straw hats and baseball caps for hols if my own attempts fail !
I’ve never been to the Scarborough/Filey area but it’s on my list . My son goes up to Bridlington with his girlfriend to visit her family- he says the coastline is lovely

Hi Annette
Thank you. I am lucky that my mum is very healthy and fit! I can’t keep up with her. Last time we went for a couple of nights stay in London, I end up in hospital afterwards. Don’t think my body can quite keep up with my mind these days.
We are indeed splash out on a grand hotel on the lakeside. They have completely renovated the spa complex recently so will looking forward to spending time around there. There are 2 RHS partner gardens near it so we will visit them.
I have never been to Scarborough either. The nearest seaside town for us is Felixstowe way.

Morning Lucy, and thank you, we're on the way to hospital now for Lesleys scan, our eldest daughter has come along too, we've changed our dinner booking to next Friday, as dinner at my youngest daughter's farm is back on, I've never been to Greece, I've never been to the Med, but looking forward to it, it's sunny here but ok, though if I didn't need to, I'd stop in bed as long as I can, so enjoy your stop in bed.
Eddie xx
thank you to whoever it was that returned the sunshine this morning, very much appreciated.
