Not completely ready to dive right in but appreciate the support I have seen in this group for a little while so taking tentative steps to posting for now, I have stage 4 incurable cancer, treatable but learning slowly what that means x
Thank you all for being so kind and patient. I live in a rural part of South Wales in a small but close community, my diagnosis was completely out of the blue and has shattered us all. Seeing the pain of others is much worse than coping with my own. My treatment will be chemotherapy which I have started and has not been as bad as expected so far though I believe it is likely to get more difficult. Another big shock for me has been the complexity of coping with the NHS. I cannot complain about the timing of appointments, scans etc, but the number of different teams, disciplines and departments involved is leaving my head spinning as to who to contact for what issue and when.
Thank you all again for being there and in the words of another group member I will put my big girl pants on and move forward xx

Welcome to the Group. This is a great group of people who provide support when you need it but also reminds you that life is not always about our conditions. Don't be afraid to ask for advice or if you just want to rant or even if you want to share a special moment/crafts/hobbies. We are here to support you as best we can.

Hi GreenH, I'm glad you've taken the decision to join the group. We're a very supportive and helpful bunch, we can raise spirits when you're feeling low because we've all been in a similar situation and know the benefits of support and having a shoulder or 6 to lean on.
