To all of Ulls friends in the 'Living with Incurable Cancer community.
have just heard from Ulls' wife that Ulls passed away on Tuesday 6th May at 6:50am. He passed away comfortably in a Hospice.
I have known Ulls since I was diagnosed nearly 4 years ago. He has/had a great character and I feel special to have had the opportunity to know him. I know Ulls supported Sunderland, but I can't hold that against him.
I managed to get Ulls to join the Maggies' Prostate Support Group in Newcastle with me. Ulls was there for me in some of my low moments and also there to share in some better moments. Myself and my partner Tracey will miss him, as will a lot of you in the Macmillan Prostate forum.
I don't think i have stopped crying since I heard the news.
I have special permission to post this in your community.
I am so sad to read your post about Ulls. Eddie always spoke about him with such love. Please pass my heartfelt condolences on to his wife and loved ones and thank you for letting us know. It was very thoughtful to think of us at this difficult time for you. Sleep in peace Ulls, you will have a special place in a corner of a lot of hearts

I'm so sad to hear that William (Ulls) has passed. He and I regularly emailed each other and he told me a couple of weeks ago that he was in a hospice and he wasn't expecting to leave. He had a particularly nice personality and that was evident in his emails.
I'm so sad also that another friend has gone because of this awful disease, I feel quite empty now. Please pass on my condolences to his family and friends. Thank you for letting us know.

Oh Ellie,
I am so sorry to hear about Ulls.
As I've said before, I lurked here for quite a while before I posted.
I first started lurking in the days of Bill and Ben and parties and potting sheds. I thought that I had dropped into a parallel universe and that everyone had gone mad!
I then realised that it was a great way to keep everyone's spirits up.
I loved the "banter" between Mama Bear and Papa Bear.
You will miss him so much.
He sounded like a lovely man.
My condolences to his wife and family.
RIP Ulls.
Lots of love,
Helen
Hi Helen It is good to see you post but wish it was under different circumstances.
Those were the days, with the Naughty Step etc they made living with cancer a lot easier!
Keep well!
Love Annette x
