Good morning, thought it might be fun to have a chat for bookworms. Recommend a book/books, ask for suggestions for a specific topic or post whatever you like regarding books and reading
Angie
Hi Helen, yes I am familiar with the books. So happy you posted as well. My next book lot will be the 4 books by Simon Scarrow about two of the greatest Generals in history. Napoleon and Wellington The 4 novels start with both their early days and go right through to Waterloo ( and no not ABBA ) Young bloods, the Generals, Fire and Sword and the Field of Death. So many books not enough time

love Angie and Lilly xx
I eat books, not literally.. lol...I am a very fast reader. So remembering all I've read us impossible unless I look up my kindle account haha
I like crime and thrillers, however I seemed to have outgrown gory ones.
Fantasy is also a go to...depends on my mood..
I studied archaeology, art history at university in my 40s so sometimes non fiction goes down those routes with an interest in cultural death rituals from around the World ancient and modern. Memorialisation, especially war graves, stained glass windows etc...but these to be honest are not top of my list anymore.
Just started a fantasy box set...so badly written I gave up after 1st book, do back yo crime novels again haha
Well that gives u a tiny insight of me I suppose
I love love love reading
Happy page turning everyone
Hi Patrick, I read it when it first came out about 7 years ago, having seen a program about them, and always wanting to walk round the Devon and Cornwall coast, it's a wonderful read my friend, one I'd recommend to everyone, especially those of us with health and wellbeing issues, I've heard they've turned it into a film, which isn't for me, but I'll definitely read the book again.

Your welcome my friend, I have watched a couple of films after having read the book first and thoroughly enjoyed it, only to be disappointed with the movie. Ihave my 3 monthly HT injection this morning, then a few hours at my hospice, before going to the allotment to plant my tomato's, peppers and cucumbers,"hopefully," then we're going to my favourite pub for dinner, this booking has been moved twice already, so can't put it off again, or we might lose it
So your in for a mini heatwave 30C+, sounds good to me, we have low to mid 20C, for the next 10 days, with a couple of showers.

Hi Patrick
I've read this book, and the two she's written since then, which follow on from the Salt Path. I've enjoyed reading them all, and think they are quite uplifting, though it is a harrowing story.
Not sure what the film will be like, but I'm hoping to go on Friday evening, so I'll report back on here!
happy reading

Eddie, if a father's day wish doesn't materialise, I can pass the books onto you if we meet up in Glasgow again. I've read each book at least twice, so don't need them anymore.
Every now and again, I have a cull of my bookshelves, to make room for new ones. It is so easy to get swamped!!
xxx Puddock
Hi Puddock, that would be very nice of you, but surely you mean when we meet up,
my kids have been very quiet lately, their up to something, fortunately Lesley and I are going to see the twins at the weekend again, so whatever their planning will have to be tomorrow, never realised it was so late my friend, catch up soon.
love Eddie and Sheila xx
