Good morning all everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for May. If you would like to catch up on April's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for:
Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.
If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment.
Well, my friend, you should get a recording of those banging, scraping, and clanking noises for home lol.
It's the best way to be, regarding waiting for results, worrying won't change anything, though I appreciate it's easier for those of us who have been on this journey many years.
You'd be surprised how many cancer patients have memory issues, I've had the Alzheimers test, scary, thankfully I passed, but I do have CRCC and Aphantasia which play all sorts of tricks on my memory, many similar to your experiences.
Good to hear you've had some time on the allotment, it's a good place to switch off and unwind, and you got a lot more done than I did, but dear o dear football, no thank you, golf every time for me, talking of which the Open's at Royal Portrush, , can you get me tickets?.
I'm so sorry to hear your troubles with sleeping my friend, never a good start to your day, but sadly we get used to it, I had over 18 months on 1 1/2 hours a night, it becomes normal, thankfully I found a way through it. But my spine mets, stenosis and chronic osteoporosis will put an end to that, I do hope you find a way to a better night's sleep my friend.
You too my friend, be kind to yourself, take care.
Eddie xx
Hi Tvman, you seem to enjoy the gardening and all that goes with it. If you can remember planting French beans, you're doing ok. Are you taking pain meds? I remember when I was on morphine there were memory issues although I was allowed to drive. 2:0 and barely started

Hi Patrick, Didn’t you know Tvman is our Garden Guru? At least he was for many years before Mrs T became unwell and then he had to attend to her instead of the garden. I don’t think there is much about gardens, especially when it comes to growing vegetables, that he doesn’t know!
I am on quite a high dose of Morphine slow release as well as Morphine sulphate the quick acting one and it doesn’t even help me sleep! I think I need my husband to get a “hammer” and hit me on the head with it! LOL!!
Oh I’ve just realised it is now June!!
Love Annette x
