I spend a lot of time indoors, in front of the tv. I am a bit of a soap addict, with Eastenders being my favourite. But I am always looking for new things to watch, so thought I would start a thread to see what you have been watching, any good recommendations that might interest anyone.

  • Last night we watched strictly come dancing. I am just in awe of Ellie, who has Down syndrome. She has said she doesn’t want her condition to define her, The way her partner Vito ( who I absolutely adore) interacts, teaches and supports her through this strictly journey is just so beautiful to see. He is like an over protective big brother, but full credit to him because Ellie’s dances have been beautiful to watch.

  • I've watched videos of Ellie dancing on YouTube, and I'm truly amazed by her elegance and how well she is doing with Vito. I couldn't have said it better how he excels at being like an older brother to her, as they inspire with such beautiful performances together!

  • I haven't watched it yet, my other half is not keen but I could watch it in the day.  We are watching Dexter at the moment which is really not relaxing like the dancing.

  • Dexter is way more intense. We try to keep a balance in our house, usually my mom and I win and get to watch what we want, but sometimes we give in and let my dad pick something. What season are you guys on with Dexter? We enjoyed the original Dexter seasons, but Original Sin and Resurrection weren't as good in our opinion. Plus I'm so sleep deprived that I tend to fall asleep and miss parts of those episodes when we watched them together.

  • Hi Dance04  yes I found it to be very intense especially at the beginning.  We are only on the first Dexter season 2 so a bit of a way to go.  Sounds like the girls win in your house.  It is only my husband and I at home so I guess it Strictly in the daytime for me Joy as he tends to win the remote war x

  • Has anybody watched Sullivan’s Crossing on Netflix. I thoroughly enjoyed the first 3 seasons. It’s good to watch tucked up by the fire in the evening. At present I am watching Dark Wind on Netflix. What an amazing Crime drama it is. Can’t wait for the next 2 seasons to come.
