Morning all, there will be no new chat thread for April....
Haha, April Fools, here is the new chat thread for April!
If you want to catch up on March's chat you can click here but it will be closed for replies.
The chit chat thread is for:
"Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.
If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment."
Hi Chelle, It is up to you to educate your husband!!
Eddie, there are a few sayings about cold moonlit nights….
“Cool moonlit nights stir the soul and still the mind.”
“Clear moon, frost soon”
“On a cool moonlit night, even silence seems to whisper.”
I love “sayings” can you tell!!
Love Annette x
Morning guys, another lovely day, which I hope we are all sharing, we've had a couple of lovely days with my youngest and the little ones, despite finding out I'm anemic and have damage to my pilorus and duodenum.
We're heading to Scotland today for a long weekend, thankfully my travelling companions all drive, I hope your all as good as can be and have a little something nice planned for the weekend.
Eddie xx
Morning Eddie..the intrepid Explorer off again
Sorry to hear your having more body issues, but ur an inspiration and u keep going. Lovely to see u get out and about.
Maybe a daft question...I can manage a walk in the field with confidence. However, I want to do the village pond which is further down the village, uphill on way back.
My energy just goes out of my legs, so I lose confidence.
How do u rest when ur energy goes when ur out and about. Do u use a stick, a seat pusher or what? Or do u just sit for a while?
Anyhow, have a wonderful time. Your family makes my day shine, I thankyou for that
Hugest hugs
Hi Eddie
hope you have a wonderful time in Scotland with your family. I am going to remember what you said - "I have cancer but cancer doesn't have me" - that is so simple but means so much and will definitely become my new mantra to get me through those tough days so thank you!
x Thea
Fleabane I can tell you what I do which is to take it at my pace whatever that means. On a good day it is little stops on a bad day it is a stick and lots of stopping wherever I can be it sitting on a wall or propped up at a fence. Strangely going down hill is the worst as it hurts my back 9i have mets in my spine) so lots of stopping to stretch helps and I top up my pain relief before I go out so it kicks in beforeI need it - top tip from my nurse : )
I took a picture of my new staff. It's made of beech and unscrews into 3 parts for rucksack. I hate those hiking poles ...the staff has given me more confidence, especially going over stiles.
My problem is when my leg muscles decide to give up, takes away confidence in case I just drop to floor..
But both your comments are very good. Do what I can.
Each step is good for the soul and is exercise.
I'll keep trying to reach that pond...
Ty both for your encouragement
Hello Fleabane, just been scanning the latest posts. I do much the same as TheaT. On good days I enjoy what I can accomplish and on not so strong ones I opt for my ‘cosy day’. After all
Got this from my friend a while back Hope it makes you smile (not that I am saying you are old, but I definitely have been a member of that club for a few years now). My mind is saying recycled teenager but my body has an entirely different opinion.
love Angie and Lilly xx
