Morning all, there will be no new chat thread for April....
Haha, April Fools, here is the new chat thread for April!
If you want to catch up on March's chat you can click here but it will be closed for replies.
The chit chat thread is for:
"Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.
If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment."
When are you thinking of going? Business flights in June and July are cheaper due to low season. I use google to check on deals. Ethiad or Swiss air offers much better deals. Direct flights are much more expensive. The tax UK charges for business flights to SA is really high so would be cheaper go indirect.
Afternoon to you all.
Well weather has changed here, quiet chilly, what do we expect coming up for Easter.
Have caught up with all the thread, from the last few days.
Nearly everyone are in good spirts, a few perhaps not, it will pass, keep heading towards the rainbow.
My son came in yesterday with a lovely spray of flowers ,all white, thats the colour I always choose.
Enjoy your day, what ever you are doing, and if its nothing, then so be it.
That's what you need, a bit of ME time.
Hi Ellie
hope you're having a good Sunday!
I haven't been on here for a week, so I had a lot of catching up to do!
I'm looking after a friend's dog, and managed to fall and break my collarbone on our first walk in the woods together last Saturday. It has not been an easy week, but we've managed, with some help from others to do dog walks for me.
I gather it can take a while for this type of fracture to heal, so I'm hoping it won't be too long before I can manage some gardening again.
I hope you get your final eye injection sorted!
xxx Kate
Hi Angie (Alana01) I am so sorry you have a friends funeral to go to today, it is really hard to say goodbye to someone you love. I am so pleased you have moral support from another friend. Just remember in a “happy place” there is no such thing as pain. Hang in there, you will get through this!
Love Annette x
Hi Kate, I hope you will soon be on the mend but please don’t think of gardening until your shoulder is healed properly. Why not try sitting in the garden first with a cuppa and make a list of what needs done first when you are ready for it!
Hi Ellie, Good luck for today and I hope everything goes smoothly, then you can finally set a date for your cataract surgery! It has been a long time coming!
Love Annette x
Good morning Annette, thanks very much for your post. The funeral is tomorrow afternoon. Docs appointment, bloods for hospital after that, home for a coffee and a bite to eat and then the funeral. I am very lucky that my friend is off this week and so has the time to accompany me tomorrow afternoon.
love Angie and Lilly xx
Morning Angie, a busy and difficult day for you tomorrow my friend, and a day full of thoughts and memories today, I'm sure you have many wonderful ones about your friend, you can find comfort in today. I always write a eulogy the day before a family member or friends funeral whether I'm speaking or not, to help me through the day, and have family close.
love Eddie and family xx
Morning. Good luck tomorrow Angie glad your friend can go with you. Patrick are you having your scan results this week, good luck. Good luck with your eye appointment today Ellie. Hope your collar bone heals soon Kate, lots of relaxing in the garden until it does. Thank you for the information Stella it is cheaper to fly indirect I have just looked, thank you. I am exhausted today. Yesterday my husband I bottled 60 of our own homemade wines. Today I feel like I cant move.
Good luck this week everyone.
Lee 2 x
Good day
Alana hope it all goes smoothly for your friend’s funeral tomorrow.
Kate no good deed goes unpunished! Hope you are resting and will heal up soon.
Eddie how was your Sunday lunch?
Lee 2 what kind of wine do you make? is it from your own grape? Sounds very interesting. We drinks a lot of SA wine especially the red,
I have got my first pair of reading glasses today. Not sure what it does as I can read books etc better without them ?
Have got a parking fine from my local train station. It is free for blue badge holders. So I have displayed my badge on the window screen. But apparently I need to register online for a blue badge holder permit first. No one told me about this but it is in the small prints of T&C somewhere. I am appealing for it and see how it goes.
Suppose to have chemo on Wednesday but the hospital has just contacted me and have to go in tomorrow instead due to shortage of staff. Glad i didn’t have any exciting plans tomorrow.
Anyhow still a sunny day here and probably will go to the garden centre for a look. Xx
