  • Hi Eddie, it would make sense to do a course, especially if you want to do willow projects, and probably more fun too. I do know a few people with arthritis and they are encouraged to move the affected parts as much as practically possible so might help? Still on the Scilly Isles?

  • Morning Patrick, I was leaning towards a course, so thank you for making my mind up, as for the  arthritis I massage my hands twice a day for about 5 mins each time, which is keeping on top of it, I did take up patchwork a couple of months ago but can't sew by hand so have to use a machine, but it's relaxing and enjoyable, I've made a couple of duvets for my newest granddaughters, will post a pic.

Still at the Scilly's, but have to leave Tuesday/Wednesday, as we're going to Scotland, visiting my son on the way.

I hope your having a good day my friend, with hopefully something planned.

  • That look lovely Eddie and Patrick you are all so talented.  This has tempted me to try to crotchet, something I have never done before.

  • Enjoy your honey Patrick, definitely lots of things starting to blossom not long now and the madness begins. Last year was a bad spring but a good summer for the bees the previous year was the other way round, let’s hope for both to be good this year.

Thankfully no Asian hornet reports round here last year Eddie fortunately they did not take hold as bad as was expected which was down to the bad weather in the spring.

  • Love the quilt Eddie, you certainly are a man of many talents Sunglasses

  • I have just thus week started crochet. Just squares. I am a knitter but tge cardigan I am working on is a fairisle and my brain wanted some thing easier. Was easy to learn squares off you tube lol..

  • It shouldn't take you too long to make something functional, like a cushion cover, using squares. They are so versatile!

  • Am trying for a small cardigan for the pub garden outings lol..I do get cold easily..

I see leelaloo and Ann are having a go too..

Is relaxing as well isn't it...don't have to think too hard.. lol

What hobbies do u have Puddock...

  • Thanks Lee2, I have a lovely, very patient teacher, I could never have imagined me ever doing something like patchwork a few years ago, let alone telling people I do it, but I'm so glad I did as it's a good way to switch off, and you have a wonderful gift for someone when you've finished.

I hope you give crotchet a go, you might be a natural, and love it, my hope is to make 1 for every member of my closest family for Christmas, so only 25 to makeGrin, are you thinking of a crotchet group or self teaching.Fingers crossed
