Hi Fleabane, Appliqué is brilliant, it is like painting a picture, but with fabric and looks great. It would be good to see your unfinished work and you may even decide to finish it now!

Yes, I agree I love the quilt and I do like the colours, even the black. I do think people who are artistic tend to be over self critical, what do you think Eddie and others!

Hi Annette, I always thought if a jobs worth doing, it's worth doing well, I just think it's too dark, I've started on a flowers and butterflies one, much brighter but only 5ft x 4.5ft, for baby Mandy, my youngest grandsons next, he's only 2yo but loves cars, I can make one  in under 10 hours now so all the grandkids should have one soon.

My knitting has been slow as the cannula has prevented from using my arm, but here what it looks like so far. Just a reminder it's part of a very long shawl, so I still have a long way to go.
