  • Hi

Lee 2 there are many fantastic orchids on show at Kew garden.
I am posting a few more below for you. My mum likes keeping orchids too.

  • Hi Lee2, I suppose it depends how U feel about things whether u take it further or not. At least they have admitted to theiir mistake & apologised! If it was me, I'd see how things went from now on & only complain if they start messing u about! Hopefully they will want to make amends & things will go smoothly from now on! What do u think?

  • Afternoon

Been a lovely day here, i have to say.

Postman delivered 4 letters all hospital ones.

I am going to the chemo unit on Thursday, I am going on a Target Therapy Tablet, some thing different I suppose.

    I have a gene mutation,

MRSA, the tablet is not chemo its a  Cancer   growth inhibitor.

Trying to find out more about it, Happy Days.

Hope every one has had a pleasant day, what ever was on the cards.

  • Hi Ellie, That is like the one I was on the Trial for many moons ago it was Targeted Therapy tablet with rules about when you took it etc, like 2 doses. 12 hours apart! I have the Braff gene mutation.

i hope this works for you as well as it did for me. I have everything crossed for you Ellie!

  • Thanks Annette  yes i know you was on a trial at the start of this, roller coaster ride.

My oncologist has quiet a few patients on this combo, i phoned Macmillan today and spoke to a nurse, the tablet I am  going on has been out quiet a while, one tablet a day.

Hope you ae well and the family. xx

  • Hope it goes well on thursday will be with you in spirit. xx

  • Thanks Tricia can only give it a go.

Hope your doing well  as can be, its onwards and upwards, for us all

  • Thanks Ellie, Vince had his 4th chemo yesterday and slept most of the rest of the day apart from having dinner. He was actually nodding off at the table. He did ask about sleeping as much and the answer he got was that the body is healing itself when you are asleep, so not to fight it. I’ve been trying to do everything in the house and the shopping etc to let him rest. I really admire the way you handle everything on your own although I know it is not through choice! Onwards and upwards!

I have an appointment with the Pain Clinic on 13/3 so everything crossed I will finally get to sleep at night after that but I won’t hold my breath!

  • I can see that you are once again catching up on your admin during the wee hours and I am joining you . Good to hear your husband is getting on with his treatment and you have an appointment for the pain clinic . I have my sister in law visiting so really need to try and get some sleep I won’t be much company if I keep nodding off during the day . It is lovely to see her and she is coping quite well since my brother died , keeping busy but says she “has her moments” which is only natural. I hope everyone else is managing to sleep and that if you are in hospital have appointments or just at home I am sending you my best wishes . X Chris
