Hi Angie, the tea's so nice, I'm cutting back on water for an extra cuppa, It cleared up here early afternoon into a lovely day so we went to the gardens, still lots of birds and insects around and a lovely place to spend a few hours, Angie there are three of us, four if you count Poppy, who has just been for a walk, so that's our day done, a little supper and bed. I hope the storm passes through without incident, keep safe.

As I'm veggie, I don't make mine with beef, but it always has beans in!
I'm also lazy, so I use chilli flakes rather than fresh chillies, as it's easier to control the 'heat'. I sometimes use plain cottage cheese as an accompaniment too.
It sounds like you're having a fab holiday so far! Hope it continues to go well.
It is blowing a hoolie outside at the moment here! It is due to calm down soon.

It is really bad here now too with the storm. Surprised our electric is still on. We are prone to power cuts here. Glad you are having a grand time Eddie. Hope you get calmer weather soon Kate, I just saw a bin going down the road at some speed. Hope everyone is ok and will not have any damage. Stay cosy and safe

HI Puddock, sorry i forgot your a vegetarian, love meat free chilli too, never tried it with cottage cheese, but sour cream works as well.
After our dodgy start, thanks to my heart playing up, causing us to miss the train and having to drive to Exeter, in record time, to catch the plane, it's been lovely, Oh because of the mad dash yesterday after my night in hospital, where i missed breakfast, and never had time to get anything to eat on the way and was knackered when I got to the cottage, I never went out with the girls, but they said they would bring me something to eat, I even stayed up for them, nothing, not even a bag of crisps, what a way to treat someone who's poorly.
I love studying, words and phrases I love, blowing a hoolie, is a phrase from the Orkney Islands, a little useless information for you, take care.

Hi Ellie, hope the larger letters help, I forgot the clocks go back too, so thank you for the reminder as we're travelling on Monday so knowing the right time is useful, though I wish they would leave the clocks alone.
hope you had a lovely time with your family yesterday, mine were a bit of a let down Ellie, 11pm they got in and with no food, they have a lot of making up to do, LOL, how are you feeling today, family are wonderful but can be tiring, it's been nice to see the forum a little busier lately, it's been quiet long enough, let me know if the larger letters are helpful Ellie, and I will continue with them.

LOL I was surprised when they appeared, very thought full, a nice thought.
