Hi I have been receiving bevicazumah (excuse spelling) for a few months every three weeks. Recently I keep having too much protein in my urine and two weeks ago the same again although my bp was far too high so i wasn’t allowed treatment. This week I’m doing another 24 hour urine specimen today and first thing in morning on Tuesday I have a ct scan, blood tests on Wednesday a face to face appointment with my consultant on Thursday and they will decide if I can have treatment on Friday or if they have to look at other treatment options for men if there is any. Has anyone else found their self in same situation? I am terrified incase this is the end of treatment and I’m trying to put a brave face on for my kids but I have no one else to talk to about this thanks if you’ve managed to read this far and would be greatful to hear from anyone else going through similar

  • Hi Minmax yeah it definitely is I can be full of energy one day and be exhausted the next, I think we are all the same. Thanks very much I will update on Thursday once I’ve had my face to face with my consultant. How you have a lovely day xx

  • Hope your scan goes well! A bit hot for travelling today. Can't complain though...we've not exactly had much summer weather here!

  • Hi Teresa, sorry for the late response 3 hospitals today. Though born in Oban, have lived in Yorkshire 52 years, in a village called Bentley near Doncaster, the hottest, sunniest, driest place in northern England, I also lived in Glasgow for 6 months when I was young, I'm glad your leaving your sign off it's how I remembered you from 5 months ago. I hope your trip to the hospital went smoothly, now the wait, will have everything crossed they bring good news

    Eddie xx

  • Wow three hospitals that is a lot. I’ve heard of Bentley although never been. Scan went well and they’ve said although my consultant won’t have the results for a couple of weeks she should be able to access the images on Thursday so fingers crossed for a good outcome and if not we will deal with it the same as other times by accepting it and moving on. Hopefully I can go back on my own treatment again or they can come up with a suitable one. I’ve still got plenty fight left in me so that’s got to be a good sign right lol roll on Thursday to get it over with for now I hate the waiting. Hope you’re ok tonight you must be exhausted going from hospital to hospital xx

  • Hi Teresa, glad to hear your scan went well, now the waiting, which is not nice,  but that's great your consultant can view your scans so soon, but I prefer to wait for the radiologists assessment, but good luck anyway, and I love your positive attitude and that you have plenty of fight in you.

Nobody comes to Bentley for their Hols, Teresa, there is also a Bentley in Hampshire,

I am tired, was out all day, fortunately I can drive so saves a lot of time, only at hospital twice tomorrow and hospice also, what will you be doing to help with the waiting, I try to keep busy, best wishes.

  • Hi Kate, Nice to see you post again and hope you continue to improve.

Maybe Karen, you and I should try for a meet-up! Do you ever go to Glasgow Fort? It is not far from me along the M8. Maybe we could give it some thought while I am away on holiday? What do you think?

Anyone else that could manage would be more than welcome of course! Watch this space!
