A new thread other getting full lol (continued from thread no 13)

Talk about what ever you wish to, within reason,

What your up to today, what you may be doing, having bloods done, or scan day, or results,

Though if you have a special topic, please start anew thread,

This is for daily everyday life, we talk about this and that, and yes rubbish, and   nonsense at times, me included.

That is some times what daily life is like,

  • Probably not what the forum is for but I was wondering if someone living close would do my ironing.?

I would make a bacon sandwich and sing to you in return.

I just hate ironing and I know females are better at it, but I am an inclusive type of person.

apologies should I have misused this space. X

  • Well not sure, who would take you up, on that, i suppose, all depends, on what you  may sing

  • BP it will take more than a bacon buttie and a Beatle song to do your ironing! I hate it too!

  • I love ironing. If I lived near you I would do for you x

  • It was so poignant MSG! And there were many funny moments too. One of the local councillors presented the certificates and as he was blind and the recipients all had additional needs there were some funny moments, where we couldn’t help but laugh. All the kids laughed too. I cried when Tom got presented with his certificate and cried when many of the others did too. John Spense the councillor spoke about how these young people faced so many more challenges than others in an already challenging world and how they need to be celebrated for the contributions they were making in the world. That made me cry too! He had such a warm humorous and empathic nature. Wish they were all like that!

  • Aw that’s lovely Ellie, thank you. I’d like to find a horrid teacher he once had and tell her smugly how well he’d done despite her nasty put downs and belittling of him. Some people should never teach! She wasn’t the only one either.

  • Thanks so much Tvman, that means a lot. How are you and Mrs TV doing? I bet she’ll be missing the children, I do everyday. I think it’s why I feel a bit down at the moment. Teaching becomes so much part of you. I found myself in tears listening to a group of young children at the swimming pool. They were so full of life and being their normal silly, funny crazy selves. I realised how much I missed having them in my life keeping me silly too! Sometimes life with cancer becomes a bit serious doesn’t it?

  • I don’t iron Bp, I hate it too. I just hand it to dry and it doesn’t need ironing. Try that!

  • Then no one needs to hear you sing!

  • You are very kind Bev.

all is not lost, I will get a months worth and courier it to you along with a tape of me singing slow boat to China.

A tenner should see it there and bac and you can keep the tape. I will sign it as well, probably double it’s worth ..... four and tuppence at least!!

you are in the UK I hope?
