Don't forget, Torty has a bath on a Wednesday. Only use Clinique on his shell, he had a bad experience with Coal Tar once.

Do what, this is not a five star , even i do not use Clinique,,

carbolic soap, then will shine him up, with multi purpose polish, take it or leave it. 

I know you are only joking. You and Torty have formed a close bond.

You and he have a symbiotic relationship now.

We are very very close now, he understands me and i know, what he needs, a new bed plenty straw, to sleep. 

To be honest I wouldn't mind that myself. A nice bit of TLC. Any chance?
