Hi, I know this seems a bit trivial given our diagnosis but I’d really like to go to USA for a week but I’m finding travel insurance costs thousands, literally. can anyone recommend a company? Many thanks Ali
It's worth bearing in mind or questioning the insurer on their definitions. I was doing some online quotes and they prompt "is it terminal?". First of all I interpreted this to mean "incurable" so answered yes. But when I was talking to All Clear / Stay Sure (I think they are the same company) on the phone, I asked for their definition and I was surprised by their answer! They defined "terminal" as having been advised by a doctor/consultant that your lifespan was limited or shortened. They additionally advised "there's "incurable, but treatable", but "terminal" isn't this". I thought that was really useful and that was when I realised I had been answering this question incorrectly on previous occasions.
