Good morning everyone
today is scan day, it’s my 3rd, my first scan march showed some improvement, the second scan was confusing as the consultant said it showed some grow but the tumour was still smaller than when first detected, it was sent to MDT they said it was inconclusive about growth it could be the tumour had moved so I was to continue with immunotherapy, I am really worried this time. I want to be positive and I hope this scan show no growth or if I’m a very lucky girl it has shrunk, I will be happy with stable.
I finished my combined chemotherapy and immunotherapy at the end of April and I’ve continued with my immunotherapy cycles, I’m told immunotherapy is very good for lung cancer patients so here’s hoping. You would think that since I was diagnosed in December 2021 9 months ago I would be adjusted to all this and be an old hand now but it still seems like yesterday sometimes and it all still feels so new, although I’m not so stressed now, thanks to lots of you lovely people supporting me. I can tell you how grateful I am to all of you and for you all being out there. Your all so special even though you are going through tough times with you diagnosis you continue to give to others.
Hugs
Donna
Thank you so much Donna, I'm getting back in slowly, Tuesday was our 43rd wedding anniversary and we would usually go for a meal but Mrs Tvman just didn't have the desire to go out even though she had a voucher for one of the best restaurants in County Down which is only 2 miles away from us, on our doorstep really. Fair enough, so we stayed in and cooked a meal between us and shared a bottle of wine. We'll spend that voucher another day.
Take care Donna xx
Hi ellie
thank you for easing my mind. My specialist nurse said exactly what you said but I thought at the time she was trying to calm me, I never really thought what she said was correct. It’s always better when some else had the same thing happen and they can tell you from experience.
thank you
have a great day hugs
Donna
Hi Donna
Scan outcomes are so plentiful, I am now learning. We all get the bigger/smaller metric and the pseudo growth that Ellie mentioned that is sometimes encountered with the first scan after immunotherapy. A new one on me this week was the vascularity. This is when the blood vessels feeding the tumour are less, and you can experience this result with no change in tumour size. Everything crossed for you. I love everyone on here too Claire xx
