Here by special request, the latest in the Lovely Morning series.
We're in a bungalow so thankful I don't have stairs to worry about. Is a stairlift a possibility? I think they're a rip off when new, but have seen quite a few second-hand ones for sale on e-bay. Even if you just get a lift for the straight bit, that can be a big help. We did that for my mum, but it's only feasible when you have a handyman person to fit it. Or go up slowly on your bum perhaps? Hugs. Rainie x
Hibernate , i agree, watched frozen planet last night, and one creature, even their heart stops beating, but the brain carries on working, then when it gets warmer, they come back to life, would suit me, and you slowly see the heart starting to beat again yes up for that.
Hi Ulls, Yes, I'm a spring and summer person. Don't like autumn much: everything is dying and shutting down in the garden and countryside [including me it feels like]. Winter is just something you have to get through. But after early rain we've blue skies and bright sun. So have been tidying up a bit in the garden. Buckets of windfalls to top up the compost bins with: smells like a cider factory down there- the wasps are drunk on it, so at least they're going out happy. Hope your afternoon is tolerable. Buy yourself an almond croissant as a reward. Rainie x
Hi Moi Hope the treatment goes (or went) well!
Ellie if you saw the colour of the scrambled eggs in this hotel, I think you would stay clear of them! Strange, I mean what can you do to scrambled eggs!! Talking of stair lifts!! Have you mentioned it to the Occupational Therapist at the hospital, or local hospice. The OT at Marie Curie contacted my local council and they sent someone out. We have 13 stairs with a turn at the top, so an engineer came out to measure it and made us a bespoke one. They service it twice or three times a year and we didn't have to pay anything for it! Without it we would have had to move and we didn't want that.
Pet, We have had temperatures in the middle to high 20's since we arrived in Salou. Thankfully this week is to be cooler at 23-25C, however I hear from our daughter they are having overnight frost already at home! Since we arrived on 30th Sept we have had 1 hour of rain, overnight!
Ulls, what did you do to have a post deleted? Or wasn't it your fault?
Ruth, Our daughter had problems breast feeding at first but persivered and I am sure it makes quite a difference!
Love Annette x
