Morning everyone. Woke up to the sun shining in the bedroom window, got up had breakfast, banana on toast and just on my second coffee. My positivity is back (thank god). Going to have a shower dress and go for a walk through the woods and show my husband were I use to play as a kid as our move has taken me back to my roots. Have a good day all XX
I no how you all feel, I a 68 year old woman, and don't need or appreciate being told what words to use, incase they are buzz words and MIGHT have a number of different MEANINGS, or could POSSIBLE suggest something else that is not in the CONTEXT of the Conversation that the offending word was used in.
Enuff said. Besides being annoyed, I hope all have had a good day xx
Hi everyone,
I’m posting here as we can see a few comments about how we moderate on the Online Community and why some words or phrases might be removed or caught in our filter.
On the Community, we have our guidelines in place to ensure the site is safe and supportive for all of our members. This means certain words and phrases may be caught in our moderation filters. Our moderation filters are automatic and once a post has been caught there, a member of the Community team will review the post and either approve the post back onto the site, make any necessary edits to the post or keep it off the site.
Whilst the Community team are working 7 days a week, this does sometimes mean posts are caught in that filter and therefore off the site for a few hours, or even overnight until someone is available to check the posts.
We understand that in this thread, and others here in the group, there are lots of supportive conversations and we can see that members in this space have developed friendships and are sharing personal jokes and it’s great to see how much you support one another.
Please know that it is not our intention to stop members here from sharing jokes and humour, however, we ask all members to be mindful of their comments and how others may interpret these. We understand there may be running jokes or personal jokes shared here, but we do ask members to ensure these jokes do not cause any offence. Whilst we understand this can often be unintentional, we hope you can understand why we have these guidelines in place.
If anyone has any questions about our guidelines, or how we moderate, please do reach out to us on community@macmillan.org.uk and we’d be more than happy to share some further information.
Best wishes,
Ellen
Macmillan Community Team

I understand you Ellen, but to us a word we have used time and time again, over our life time, now has a different meaning,'
It is getting very hard to know what to type and if it is wrong or right, For me i am starting to fill like i cannot put what i want, and that is not .
Yes we have become friends and like a laugh and joke, why not, we cannot be sad all the time, we know more than any one life can or could be short and we need to have a joke, and every joke, is done with the greatness respect and at times i have to stop and think no, rephrase that, Though now you want me to stop and think what does that mean, in todays society.
I have been here a long while and belong to three groups, and at the moment this is the only group that has a laugh, and i need that and so do others,
Some times there is only three of us having a joke, and each one of us respects the other and no when to draw the line.
To be honest fill like its this group that is getting the brunt of the guide lines.
For having a laugh that is not right,
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
