Hi. I know people have talked about this before, but I can’t find the threads I need.
If I want to go abroad, do I need to prove my illness with doctors letters etc, not that I’d lie about having cancer, to get my premiums up , but how does it work?
Thank you

Hi jane
This link maybe helpful.
Not to.disuade you, but i looked into it, as i wanted to visit Paris one more time. In the.end i decided not to as i was concerned about repatriation and pandemic. Ive got fond memories as a.young man. of My travels. Instead ive done a little traval, around Hampshire amd Dorset...just as nice. Best travels if you decide to.
I think phone calls are better Jane. It’s easier to explain your condition, the websites don’t give you enough options sometimes x
I went to Caribbean in March this year. Most insurance companies wouldn’t even give me a quote. Used GoodtoGo who gave me one of around £1,300 but cheaper than another one that wanted to charge me over £3:000! My advice is to shop around. Took me a whole day to sort insurance out. No I didn’t need to provide any proof about my cancer. Only one insurer I didn’t go ahead with wanted a report I hadn’t got.
