I managed to feed the moorhens this morning. Usually Albert the duck is guarding and won’t let them anywhere near. He was peacefully sleeping this morning so I got in quick. It was so cute. There are 5 babies, mum seems to be looking after 3, while dad is watching 2. Both parents were getting the food and feeding the babies. It was so sweet.

where are you that you have water nearby ?

I'm on the south coast. Back in the 80's there was a TV programme called Howard's way, I don't know if you remember it? But that is where I live on the river Hamble x

Is this a pond in your garden Chell or on the river? I do remember Howards Way. A sort of drawn out soap on boats. It featured an actor that my husband always called 'Greasy Ken'. What his real name was I cannot say, but the description suited him somehow.  Rainie x

Ken Masters  He married the actress who played Jan Harvey in real life. 

I live in a small close, and the pond is at the entrance to the close. The river is a 10 minute walk away. It is so peaceful down there, watching all the yachts. I don’t like small boats myself, I feel more comfortable on a cruise ship. The bigger the better x
