The number of NHS staff that have said that to me over the last few weeks is infuriating - phlebotomist, nurses, radiographers etc. I know they mean to be kind, but it just emphasises to me that they probably see me as an old lady to be pitied - and I am not someone who needs it. Am I just ungrateful old cow?
I get you look so well a lot too and I sometimes think do they think I've been lying especially as I have lived longer than first thought. I feel like I need to whip my scan results out of my bag to show them 
Hi , here in Northern Ireland I have seen many nurses in the last 7 years and not one has called me anything but my name. No love, my lovely, darling, honey or sweetie, more's the pity
