Hi Everyone, I wonder what, if any side effects anyone has had after one or both of these injections!
As my husband works part time for the NHS, he had his just over two weeks ago. He had both, in the same arm. The next day he had a huge lump on his arm, headaches and the chives. I had both yesterday (Sun) & had one on each arm. Today I have a terrible headache, dizziness, nausea and sore joints. Funny thing is, I had the booster on my left arm and it has been fine. The flu jag on my right arm has made the arm painful from the jag site to my hand.
I was wondering has anyone else had any problems and could you tell me what they are please! I'm wondering if my right arm is sore because I have been having problems with anyway. However I have never had any reaction before with e flu jag which is why I thought it would be OK to get it in this arm!
Hope this finds everyone as good as they can be. Oh I hate the dark nights but love the Autumn colours!
Hi Ruth, The reason you have to have the Pfizer and not the AstraZeneca booster is that the ONLY 2 boosters made were Pfizer & Moderna. The AZ lab have not made a booster, which seems a bit strange!
Oh OBS I'm so sorry to hear you still haven't managed to get your vaccine. The walk-in clinics, as far as I'm concerned, are for people with no other health issues as they can wait comfortably. Us however have problems standing and waiting in line which is why you should have had a letter with a date, venue and time to attend, then there should be no waiting. Like you, I hate incompetence. These things should be organised properly! Anyway, WHY wait until your GP contacts you? I would be on the phone first thing in the morning telling him you can't possibly stand around for 90-120 minutes and as you have tried your best to get things sorted, you really need him to intervene and sort this out for you. After all, he is the one who is responsible for your care! It's worth a try don't you think?
We got our letters, attended where and when it told us to and waited less than 10 minutes to be taken and they even apologised for that as a few nurses had gone for lunch! Very organised, I really feel for you and hope it gets sorted ASAP!
Love Annette x
I had my 3rd covid dose Tuesday, (will get called back for 4th booster as I'm immunosuppressed) and I have some bad hip and joint aches. Hot baths are helping with the aches but not with my hot sweats haha I had my flu jab 2 weeks before and had no side effects

Thanks, glad others feel my frustration. Yes I will get onto GP , as you say this is ridiculous situation. Onwards and upwards.
I had not read the full thread sorry, just scanned quickly. I contacted 119 as it was 6 months and 1 week since my 2nd dose, the NHS website was still saying I was not due yet though, but then a few days later i received a text saying I was eligible but i wanted to query this 3rd does. I had to get a letter from my specialist nurse to say I am on treatment and immunosuppressed so require the 3rd dose then a 4th booster. I then just went to a walk in vaccination centre with my letter and had my 3rd dose. Once I had the letter it was straight forward. Hope that helps
