I had the honour of being able to be present at Maz's funeral.
I will say as much as allowed under forum rules.
She had a natural burial in a nature reserve under a silver birch tree. She chose the plot only weeks before she died.
A lovely humanist service that encompassed all faiths and beliefs. Then a walk following the casket to the plot. Sunshine throughout. That she was a well loved person was evident by the large turnout and stories of her life.
Her achievements during her working and home life were astounding, I wish I had known her for longer.
RIP Maz.
Thank you for telling us Norberry. It sounds like a very tranquil place that Maz has chosen. Another seat empty in the incurables, Maz was very special, very caring person who always managed to make you smile. She will be greatly missed.
Hope you are doing ok Norbs, we are all thinking of you here, sending hugs xx
Thank you Norberry for relaying the service. It's how I would like to leave this earth, I'd like to fashion my coffin from willow branches of which I have thousands. Maz certainly chose a wonderful meaningful service. You are so lucky to have been there.
