I love it when the first signs of Spring are appearing. This, apart from tête a tête daffodils, the lovely star daffodil below is my first one in the garden this year, and before St. David's Day! And a beautiful, almost cloudless, sunny day yesterday.

That is some lawn, could have a bowls set up there. Give those weeds a good thrashing.
Here's a couple of rows of early potatoes, Home Guard. I planted them on 22nd of February and covered them straight away with fleece. I've pulled the fleece back to sow a row of Desirée potatoes and while it's back I did a little weeding.

I drive past the Everton stadium on my way to the cancer centre. Those sports turf groundsman are a class apart. I always hoped to be able to help out on the village cricket pitch when I retired. Not to be.
