Here is one of my dogs in the snow today
That must be some alarm clock! The parrots we rehomed from a rescue centre were small but loud enough and the charity always warned about cockatoos being like klaxons - the preferred homes for them ideally needed big gardens away from neighbours to avoid problems. The village I'm in has an animal rescue sanctuary and they have a pair there in a massive aviary. I always go and have a chat with them and they come over for a scratch and to see if you have anything in your pocket for them. When they call it feels like somebody has set off a car alarm right by your ear.
I always thought budgies came from Oz and were just the smallest parrot species there???
