My profile picture is our Labradoodle `Harley` who we lost 3 years ago this month due to abdominal cancer. We still miss her dearly and it just goes to show that cancer really is totally indiscriminate.

1. It doesn’t matter whether they are animals or humans, they are still family and always loved and missed.  I lost my Tia (miniature poodle aged 14) with tumours in her intestines and it broke my heart.  My Luna (cavapoo aged 7) will more than probably see me out, which also worries me as we are together constantly and I worry what will happen to her.

Yes, though we've had more issues with paws ans seeds burrowing their way under the skin. We check those regularly now. 

Can't offer any dogs but we had three parrots - all rescues - that shared our home for over 25 years . We miss them, but as they're so long-lived decided against taking in any more. Rainie x   This is Tricky (tricky-dicky...)
