Hi all, I've just been invited to have the vaccination on Sunday, I'm waiting for a call back from my CNS to ensure that it is safe to have, I must admit I'm pretty nervous about it but let's wait and see???
Had bloods this morning the nurse was brilliant straight in 2 vials of blood no bruising . full bloods, liver function, bones which is a new one to me so if anyone knows please share, and then the usual CA19, I have a phone consultation next Friday with my oncologist for the results so everything is crossed till then.
On another note the badgers have been coming up not as many just the odd 1-2 but the little darlings have been digging up my new bulbs, so yesterday had to replant and then again this morning don't you just love them.
Glad people liked the photo, we're trying to take as many as possible it's amazing how different we see the world since I was diagnosed, so there will be more photos to follow, I'm starting my own online art gallery, POA.
Stay safe stay positive

Hi
Good luck for later. I was asked if I am ok with penicillin. It was one of the questions I was asked on arrival after I had shown my ID. Then, when I was shown into the bay where I had my suspension l, the same questions were asked once more.
I didn't even feel the needle go into my arm at all and I haven't had any adverse reaction.
Take care and stay safe Peggy.

Hope it goes well Peggy, you are due some luck .xxxxxx
What a big weight removed from your shoulders and what relief you must be feeling. Lets have more good news in due course.
Xx
Hi Peggy, That's great you are telling them you have had problems in the past. Depending how far back it was, it may not matter but rather safe than sorry!
My older sister had the vaccine on Sunday and complained of a bad headache Sunday and Monday but by tea time on Tuesday it had disappeared all together. She never gets headaches, so she knew it was from the vaccine but says she feels better within herself for getting it. She keeps so well she has never even taken the flu jag, so I was relieved when she said her doctor recommended it!
I get mine on Wednesday next week! Please let us know how you get on please! Take care.
Love Annette x
Hi everyone
I had my vaccination last Monday and my wife came as my carer, pushing me in my wheelchair. She asked as she was with me could she also be vaccinated but when the nurse found out she was 62, the same as me btw, she said she was sorry but they're not doing her age range yet and it shouldn't be too long and be patient.
I'm still fine folks, bursting to get into the garden when it stops incessantly raining.
Take care and stay safe everyone

Hi tvman,
I had my jab on Monday too. It's a shame your wife couldn't have it done the same time as you. I know many carers have been offered it at the same time which makes so much sense. I suppose it all depends on the centre or area you live in.
