Hi all, I've just been invited to have the vaccination on Sunday, I'm waiting for a call back from my CNS to ensure that it is safe to have, I must admit I'm pretty nervous about it but let's wait and see???
Had bloods this morning the nurse was brilliant straight in 2 vials of blood no bruising . full bloods, liver function, bones which is a new one to me so if anyone knows please share, and then the usual CA19, I have a phone consultation next Friday with my oncologist for the results so everything is crossed till then.
On another note the badgers have been coming up not as many just the odd 1-2 but the little darlings have been digging up my new bulbs, so yesterday had to replant and then again this morning don't you just love them.
Glad people liked the photo, we're trying to take as many as possible it's amazing how different we see the world since I was diagnosed, so there will be more photos to follow, I'm starting my own online art gallery, POA.
Stay safe stay positive
xx
If the government is prepared to spend another fiver or whatever it is on you I think you can both look forwards to plenty more bevvies. Good luck to all of you getting the syringe.
I joked on the day of the vaccination that I hadn't yet turned into a lizard. However on the day after the jab, Thurs, I did turn into a sloth. I woke up fatigued and achey and snoozed all day on the sofa. Happily I turned back into myself on Friday after a nights sleep. Apparently AZ vaccine is more likely to provoke such symptoms than Pfizer one, but then again 2 other people I know who had AZ jab,and are considerable older than me, had no effects.Physiology is strange.
I am slothful as a character trait. Its only because Mrs Norberry keeps ordering things and I have to get up to accept a parcel otherwise it would be all day in bed until the sun comes out.
I bet you are glad you have had the needle, I would prefer to have side effects as it seems it is doing something to me.
I expect most people are older than you! OBS!
I have been utterly exhausted since I had the AZ vaccine and my arm is still painful- other than that touch wood no other symptoms
The reason I asked is that a work colleague of my wife said that her brother in law who is also in a wheelchair had his wife with him as she is his carer and she was given the vaccine also. My wife is my carer and I'm going to the same vaccination unit at the same hospital. She's going to go along also anyway.

My sister had hers today, her husband who is older is booked in for next Sunday and at a different surgery.
