I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.

So

1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.

2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.

3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.

I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

  • Hi ,

I was hoping for some really outrageous advice - like abseiling is good for you, not such trite crap. I mean there is something about counting our blessings, but timing is all and sounds like she might have got it a bit wrong. Still, if it made you laugh, then that is good. I think we probably all on here have had to have a wry smile at the platitudes and  friendly advice etc. I think that is the best way to deal with such things - rise above ( so maybe hang-gliding, not abseiling) Thanks for answering, I knew the others were just too full of decorum to ask. I have always been very likely to ask the questions others hold back fromSmiling imp

  • My 3 good thngs today

1 Just done antibody test for research group - yes I have them!

    2. 2 friends coming for lunch tomorrow, first time anyone other than son and daughter has  been in the house for months - downside, have to tidy up and pretend to live in a nice tidy/ clean/ fragrant home for tha afternoon. Any ideas where to hide smelly old dog?

    3. It has finally stopped raining today.

Enjoy your lunch OBS, your friends plus everyone else has done that desperate rushing around with the hoover. A bit of Chanel no5 and the dog will be welcome on any lap!

  • Tvman, I do hope you are joking about not telling your Consultant! The early they catch things, the easier it's sorted!

I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday! Although it's to rain heavily here!

3 good things All in one!

We looked after our grandson from 3pm until bedtime Saturday and it was terrific!

    Love Annette x
