I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.

So

1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.

2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.

3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.

I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

  • My three good things today.

    1. Rode my ebike to the hospital for bloods, it only rained on me a bit.
    2. Home smoked salmon and a poached egg on toast for lunch, so nice I had it twice!
    3. My Consultant phoned 2 hours early with the good news that my bloods have improved enough for my next round of chemotherapy on Wednesday.

    Happy International Women's Day everyone.

  • Can you report the poor access to the council Tinalay? It's worth making a fuss about such things.

I cannot believe these days that plenty of you are experiencing Salis. Just the best news.

  • Sorry about the bump on the head but otherwise good.

I had my first video consultation with my oncologist. Hr eas pleased. Head scan shows stability and CT chest shows 10 percent increase in 6 months.

my son saw an ENT doctor and he was pleased with his scan results and is going to have a balance test.xx

  • Hi

A kind of a good news bad news day for you Ruth.

I hope your son gets his problem sorted, we don't like to see our children incapacitated in any way. Doesn't matter what age they are now they're still our children.

  • A positive day for you  You must have a smile on your face. Smoking your own salmon? That sounds great, I'd love to do that..

There's an activity centre at Castlewellan Forest Park in the Mourne Mountains where my son and I went kayaking a couple of summers ago and the lady who owns it let us have a spin on their e bikes for 15 minutes. So effortless and satisfying for me, a wheelchair user. My pain starts when I stand, causing nerve compression so it's good to enjoy an able bodied sport.
