I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.

So

1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.

2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.

3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.

I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

    Hi Annette

Love the knitted dolls clothes I loved dolls when I was young especially dressing them.

Hope you are ok stay safe Hibiscus

  • Thanks Peggy, My husband said to her " Your Gran seems to have been knitting dolls clothes for months, how many dolls do you have?" Without hesitation she answered "I've got 29 dolls grandad but just 2 favourites who like nice clothes!" He wasn't expecting that answer! She had counted all the 'play people dolls etc!
1 It snowed last night it was a picture postcard looking out the window!

2 the Robin is enjoying the fat balls I put out

3 People seem to be posting again here! Hooray!

    Love Annette x

    Thinking of Daloni today.

    Three good things,

Coming out of a fog of escalating pain, fast developing neurological symptoms and an emergency admission to hospital to a place of calm and the possibility of a plan. It's the unknown that's hardest to take.

Stepped back into the open arms of this group and feel the support wrapping around me from people who understand so much, and so much more that doesn't need to be said.

Have given my car to my sister and niece. My niece told me not to think of it as surrendering my driving licence but as an upgrade to a personal chauffeur! She's offered to be my driver 24/7. Love it!!! xxHeart

Tinalay, I must try to make you laugh, this will do it. SiT and I have started a small bromance over a period of time.

When, like you, he gave up his car and I thought he might be struggling to get to appointments I offered myself as a chauffeur.

Do you know what your good friend SiT said to me ...... "thanks but I have a good chum who takes me   .. AND he has a Range Rover"!

Absolutely true story, question him if you cannot believe his ingratitude.  I hope the Rangie breaks down and all the busses are cancelled!

    Bromance over.

    No contest really…

On the one hand, a lovely new Range Rover and on the other, Norbs in his Noddy Car wearing Pink-Furry-Lady-Gloves and almost certainly wanting to go via Old Compton St!!!

I’m all for equality & inclusion but that’s just a little too much…

    I'm not well, you know...
