I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.

So

1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.

2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.

3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.

I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

I could put up with 26 degrees. A hubby's pain is always worse, women don't often realise this.

Get that pool up, what a lucky Pet you are! Xxxxx

  • 26 days since the last post on here - come on, there must be good things still going on. I know other threads have similar content, but this one is specifically about reminding us to be grateful for what we can. Here goes

    1. sun shining after days and days of greyness

    2. Signs of bulbs coming up reminding me spring is not that far off

    3. Christmas has given me an excuse for eating the occasional chocolate - I avoid it most of the year, but who else is going to eat it now everyone has left the house? And I need to make sure the dogs cant find any choc so eating it myslef is the only option,

  • Saying goodbye to the year I had significant secondary spread with the news I've responded well to immunotherapy

A peek of blue sky even in the cold North East

Having lovely purple hair, I tried to embrace the grey and even pastel shades but I just couldn't do it

  • Hi OBS, Hope you enjoyed your festivities thus far.

    1. You are right - we've the same sunshine here and it's such a relief after the days of gloom and rain we've had.

    2. Had a green woodpecker and mate in the garden this morning grubbing round the grass for snacks.

    3. We decided to have a laugh this afternoon and evening and play some games/cards whilst sipping on the Metaxa we bought and then forgot about. Chocolates also at the ready  - though no excuse about a dog as we don't have one. Just gonna eat them!  It'll bring back happy times in Crete. Not to mention helping me get off to sleep.
