I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.
So
1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.
2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.
3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.
I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

They are good things to hold onto and it'll be lovely for you to witness your boy taking his next steps into school. Like you, our family is keeping on with masks, hand sanitiser - the lot. What else can you do? After all this effort to avoid going down with Covid, I'm not now going to risk it all just to go out for dinner, even though I miss doing it. Rainie x
Yes! So excited! I don't want to jump out of an airplane or go whitewater rafting or take an African safari before I die, I just want to enjoy my son and family life. And I am. He just started Jujitsu but he's not very coordinated, it's hilarious.
Patricia
Hi Patricia it's good to read your son is doing S/D, strength, confidence, patients and coordination will come with practice. Team GB star in the making. Ps jumping out of a plane is good fun but quite chilly, go on give it a try.
All the best to you and your family, Ulls
Had a good, if very tiring day yesterday, and a bit zonked today but...
1. My surgeon very pleased with how I've healed up and improved.
2. Scan done and back on track.
3. Made a pretty amazing lemon cheesecake. Well you've got to keep having treats haven't you?
Hope you are all giving yourself a little treat today too.
Rainie x
Hi rainie I hope you shared the cake, my friends sister in law made a Victoria sponge filled with jam and cream for my friend and I to share, he covered his with custard, yuk, it did not need it just so lemony and yummy, same again tonight, the suffering I do just to keep the ladies happy
Hi HarleyD
You must have felt so proud watching each of your grandchildren take their steps to their new schools. One of their respective milestones in life and no doubt each of them were glad to see their grandad there for support. Well done HarleyD.
Take care and stay safe
