DearGeorgette,
,Posted a update under Daloni. Norberry spoke with her and sent an update for the Gang so you can read his post. Basically she is weak and is sleeping a lot due to the pain treatment. Thankfully she is at peace and the pain is controlled.
How are you doing Georgette? For now I am stable but continue to have some back pain, but will be harvesting the sunflowers in the near future.
Gragon thank you for posting to the group and Macmillan about site problems the last post I had from Daloni Days ago it took her 5 times for a simple PM -this is a terrible time for communications to be down
I will post to three good things tomorrow- a very good idea that was early on started by our .
Please everyone keep trying to post and help jumpstart our wonderful community. We need one another.
Love and Hugs to all.
xx Millie
Hi Mille
Site updates are now appearing on the right hand side of page which hopefully will keep people in the loo[ of what is going on.
Enjoy your day or evening

Dear YoungMan,
I agree, the iPhone connection is the worst and mine is relatively new (11pro) and my software is up to date, so for the iPhone it is not necessarily a problem with old equipment or software.
And the iPhone is the fastest go to for me. As others have noted, a computer seems to work better, but we do not have access to our home computers all the time.
Hugs to all and to Steph and all the good Macmillan folk working hard to fix our site, GodsSpeed!
xx Millie
Dear ellie 73,
Great to hear from you! How are you doing?
Thank you for the update to the site update. It feels good to hear that progress is being made.
I look forward to having the Gang back to an even better normal. It’s so important to join together to share joy, progress, problems and knowledge.
xx Millie
At least people can see it in this group also on the other two i belong two.
I am doing ok thanks had a few ups and downs but carry on.
I think in time when a few more problems are sorted things will get back to how it was.
At least we know they are trying, and see that update to hand rather than going looking for it.
We have been coming here to long to drop out now, but at times felt like it, but carried on hoping it would come right.
Take Care Ellie xx
Thank you for responding to this thread. I think that the problems with the upgrade was been made worse for the members because of the lack of information and communication about what was being done. In responding to the comments members can recognise that they are not being ignored and that someone is taking note of their comments.
I know that personally I had reported some issues but was not aware if the issues had been noted, if they were being addressed or if they were regarded as a low priority as another issue was affecting more people.
Anyone who had difficulty in logging on might not have had the details available to contact you via e mail and unless they had previously shared personal contact details they might have no way of obtaining these details from other members.
Obviously the issues split into two with one being the changes to how the site looks and works following the upgrade but the more significant issue being the problems that members have experienced in logging on, having to repeatedly log in, posting comments without losing them and sending and receiving PM's. It also appears to me that the situation has improved for members using laptops and PC's but that things are a bit less sorted for those using mobile phones and tablets.
Can I suggest that it might be useful to post a regular update of what issues have been addressed and what issues remain outstanding. My concern is how will you know if a problem has been fixed if you are not getting feedback? Once someone has reported an issue they will wait for you to fix it. If you think that you have fixed it and it is still not working on their device then they will not be aware that you think you have fixed it and are unlikely to report the same issue again. I hope that makes sense as the phrasing is a bit clumsy but I can't think how to improve it at the moment.
If there are different work arounds for different devices, operating systems and browsers then it might be useful to make those available as well although in the long term it is obviously important that the site work effectively across all these factors.
Please continue to update us as it is easy to feel that you are being ignored and I think that at this time members are more than ever depending upon the forum for support and advice given the restrictions in meeting others in public, whether that be friends, family or medical professionals.
Thank you again for responding to this thread.
Gragon
Hi Gragon,
Thanks for this.
I’m really sorry that you feel that there’s been a lack of information and communication. This is something which has also been echoed in our feedback survey and myself and the team have taken this on board. We are now posting more regular updates in our Community News Blog to help members feel more informed. You can see these updates on the right-hand side of your group page (if you’re on desktop) or nearer the bottom of the page (if you’re on mobile).
I would like to assure you that we are logging everything that we are being made aware of and our tech teams are working through these issues as fast as they can. Whenever reporting an issue through the Community team (community@macmillan.org.uk) or through our feedback form, you should always receive a response to let you know that we have received your feedback.
We will be posting a further update later this week to let everyone know about where we are at with particular issues and fixes. I hope you’ll find this helpful.
Best wishes,
Ellen
I think that the updates are a good idea although I know that some people have had issues with some of the fixes. I still think that there are a lot of people who are struggling to access the site. I know that you are in contact with anndanv on a fairly regular basis with her difficulties. I also see from the thread in the Room that several people there continue to have issues and I am sure I would find similar concerns in other groups..
I do think that the survey you refer to could only be filled in by people who have been able to access the site and it therefore automatically excludes anyone who cannot sign in who would probably give much more negative feedback. As the site is also still being modified I suspect that some people will have been reluctant to comment as it may end up being a beautiful site but at the moment it falls far short.
I am aware that some people, including myself struggle with change but to be honest at the moment I am less concerned about the cosmetic changes or the loss of the like button that I am at the loss of my friends and fellow members. I appreciate the feedback regarding issues and fixes but I would really like to know what is being done to ensure that all members can access the site without any issue.
Thanks,
Gragon x
