1. I'm just about to head off on a weekend with my eldest daughter (10) for a mothers and daughters activity weekend. It's raining but the wellies are packed! Hoping I survive!
2. Head a tiny 3 week old baby this morning - gorgeous remembering new life - so small and perfect!
3. Had a delivery of some amazing biscuits from a friend - special.
Have a good weekend all, despite all the hard.

Another thing to feel a bit guilty over: having a a solid home with a good roof and sufficient to heat the main rooms!
My sister volunteers for a charity that feeds those who don't have enough, including those sleeping rough.. When the weather's especially bad I find myself thinking of what it would be like to be out living in it.
Much for which to be thankful!
Hi, Things from yesterday:
1) My sister came over from Seatle!
2) We talked for hours.
3) Went to a women's concert of local talent.
Today:
1)We discovered the violets are all blooming in the grass of the garden (how days have fhey been out and I have been oblivious?)
2) A very contented lie down with hum of sister and hubby talking in background.
3) Went to neighboring town to our favourite little place (and I truly mean little...you could knock things from the next table with your elbow) for sandwiches and tea.
I mentioned that Kirky68 has a Mrs. Tiggywinkle and my sister professes profound jealousy!
Three good things from Sunday
Pruned a jasmine which immediately lifted my mood
Ate a really yummy meringue with fresh fruit and cream
Sat in the garden for a little while until it became too chilly
Have a lovely Monday xx
And from me,
1. My brother came for lunch. It was good to see him. He brought his clippers and went over my very thin buzz cut. My hair is both falling out and growing.
2. I had a lovely cuddle with my youngest and a really good talk.
3. I went to the farm shop to buy some cheese for a friend I will see later in the week. I found a blue cheese Easter egg. She’ll love it.
I am on the train on the way to chemo session number 11 of 18 right now. I can almost see the end of this and the summer ahead

Hi everyone, hope you are getting the sunshine this morning. It's lovely here.
3 good things
My antibiotics have finally kicked in so my tooth abcess is calming down
Had a brilliant weekend catching up with old friends
I am taking my niece to work later so will be able to have a lovely chat on the way
P
Really not feeling so good today so digging deep to appreciate anything - how awful am I! Fed up with cancer and all associated rubbish that it brings.
But...
Just about to have a piano lesson - a highlight of the week so hoping it perks me up
Have my first ever choir concert tonight - recently joined and have loved it, very nervous about performing though, will anyone really want to come?
My mum is kindly helping me change all the beds in the house.
See, that wasn't hard but oh feels like wading through treacle today. Onwards and upwards. Good discipline to think of the good.

Aaaargh Kirky, a tooth access is a horrible painful thing that in my case anyway, is unable to get pain relief for, only antibiotics which take a couple of days. I'm glad you are getting better now.
Tvman xx
I'm with you TVman: Aargh indeed! Thank heaven we live n the time of antibiotics! All my childhood I lived in fear of an " infected tooth" as was told a great grandmother died of one. Later learned that she actually died of sepsis due to an untreated absess. They liived miles from medical and back then no NHS. This was before antibiotics except sulpha, as well.
Sorry so biographical....just on the theme of Good Things and Gratitude.
Thinking ofyou, Kirky.
Did someone mention a meringue with fruit and cream?? Yummy!
My Monday three good things. It’s been a tough day and I’m tempted to wallow so this will be good for me
1. Chemo went smoothly. The blood results came back quickly, pharmacy made up the poison/elixir of youth in double time and I was home by 3:30. A record.
2. My brother in law (well, ex BIO strictly speaking since I’m now divorced) came over with my nephews. He lives in Serbia. The cousins had a good play. We had a good chat.
3. I’m off with my girls to visit a friend tomorrow. Really looking forward to it
Xx
I forgot my best thing. I discovered my local library has an audiobook section. I’ve downloaded my first book for tomorrow’s journey. Who needs an audible subscription ?
