1. I'm just about to head off on a weekend with my eldest daughter (10) for a mothers and daughters activity weekend. It's raining but the wellies are packed! Hoping I survive!
2. Head a tiny 3 week old baby this morning - gorgeous remembering new life - so small and perfect!
3. Had a delivery of some amazing biscuits from a friend - special.
Have a good weekend all, despite all the hard.

1. I bought a toasted sandwich maker and had a toastie for lunch
2. My daughter met up with a friend. It was nice to see how it lifted her spirits
3. I took Noodle the puppy to visit her brother who lives down the road. They had the best play. It was wonderful to watch them jumping on and over and around each other.
Today is the kind of day I really need to focus on three good things (see my update in the thread busy couple of weeks for the reasons).
1. watching my daughter delight in her puppy. Noodle has now bonded with her completely.
2. I made it to choir rehearsal! I had a thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours singing even if I had to sit down for most of it.
3. I treated myself to a new dress. It’s a dark green velvet shift dress and it’s beautiful, luxurious and easy to wear.
Daloni - a new frock always helps!
Three things from yesterday
Beautiful sunny day
Visited our favourite walled garden and saw a harvest display
Baked potatoes for dinner
Xx
Three things
1)at last we are home from extended stay in town for my hubby's surgery and treatment (kidney cancer) the cat still remembers us and sleeping in own bed is delicious!
2)reading the last few posts of three good things has been a tonic
3)it was sunny and cold yesterday and lovely to make an attempt at raking our tree's leaves
Daloni, the dress sounds luscious
Flowerlady, we also had baked potatoes yesterday. Eating at home seems like the treat now.
Have really enjoyed reading these posts, food for the soul.
1. Had lunch with a couple of fellow teachers and such a good laugh.
2. Practiced signing in Makaton with the drama group I volunteer with and it's making a difference already. I was able to communicate with a couple of the group who are almost non verbal, very basic stuff but it's a start.
3. Saw a lovely top in Debenhams and my sister bought it for me on the spot!
All in all a good day xx
1. A day without a hospital visit. Nice.
2. We took Noodle the puppy to Knole Park for the first time. I live right by this glorious deer park and we saw some magnificent stags
3. The cat on my lap right this minute
xx
1. Lunch at The Shard with girlfriends to celebrate a 50th birthday. I actually made it! I skipped the cocktails afterwards though. I know my limits.
2. My daughter and I took Noodle to puppy club - basically a free for all at the local pet shop. They fence off an area, you bring your puppy and they play. Little Noodle was by far the smallest but she held her own and turfed a usurper off my daughter’s lap with great determination.
3. I’m at home now with an open fire burning and the tv on
Puppy mayhem, lovely
1 A friend took me on a spur of the moment trip to Leeds to see Lass, which is like being given a massive tonic.
2 Had a lovely day browsing a craft market, looking at wigs and stuff to titivate my newly red hair. Even found some magnetic false eyelashes and discovered there are stencils for drawing in your eyebrows. Bought some vegan stuff at the Chinese supermarket and had lunch at the indoor market, where there was a Vintage fair. Bought a pretty spectacular silver jacket to wear at Christmas.
3 Love my present from Lass, a fluffy breast cancer cell that turns inside out and has a smiley face. Sula bonded with it straight away and is cuddled up with it on the couch. Just need to think of a name for it.
Bonus: Lass showed us how to turn the volume down on the sat nav so we didn't get shouted at all the way back to York
Lol.
It was a fab day indeed! Thank you for suggesting it and coming all the way over!
And for anyone interested, the breast cancer cell is part of the giant microbe range. I love them, as you can get all sorts of diseases and body parts in the range. Figured I might try and get one of everything that's broken in me, then realised that's most everything! (or so it seems some days at least!)
