1. I'm just about to head off on a weekend with my eldest daughter (10) for a mothers and daughters activity weekend. It's raining but the wellies are packed! Hoping I survive!

2. Head a tiny 3 week old baby this morning - gorgeous remembering new life - so small and perfect!

3. Had a delivery of some amazing biscuits from a friend - special.

Have a good weekend all, despite all the hard.

Love the responses to Daloni's photo almost as much as the photos themselves.  The tulips are gorgeous, but my favourite the one "on top of the world with dogs."

    Three things from yesterday:

    1) After a lovely Easter still more sunshine.

    2) Washing pegged to lines. (Hubby helped - credit given where credit due)

    3) Walk to library to return book included rest on bench of war memorial garden where it was too early for the roses but the tiny magenta and green leaves beginning to unfold.

    Three from today:

    1) Echo cardiogram show no problem with heart nor arteries.

    2) A girl of perhaps nine passed our door pushing a full sized (very regal) poodle in a child's pushchair. (Am still smiling.)

    3) Sky full of grey wool but sudden golden sunlight found its way through and lit up the hills.

Now that’s what I call a good day, . Wisely is wonderful and your little one is super cute. My heart is melting

    My three good things

    1. My niece is here for the week.

    2. We started making her matching shorts and top for her summer wardrobe

    3. We went to see a great show that reminded me how lucky we are to have the NHS and all the amazing people who work in it

  • Oh Button16 that picture is fab - wiping the tears away...

Bit of a struggle to appreciate these today but still trying to see the good:

    1. My oldest returns from guide camp today - have really missed her.

    2. Children want to bake a cake - what day isn't brightened by cake?

    3. Plans with a friend tonight - so a day with the children and then an adult chat to look forward to as well. Small but precious pleasures.

    Sending you big hugs  .

    I fancy a cake now x

  • Thanks Daloni, really appreciate that.

Trying not to wallow but some days are harder than others hey. Found out last week that my thyroid has been destroyed by the treatment so I'm trying to deal with the symptoms of that whilst they sort the meds out as well as learning to get on top of the sleep apnoea (not going well). My back is very painful and I don't understand why but it's really affecting my mobility and ability to do much with the children so concerned about what could be going on there. I feel guilty that I'm not able to run around with the children as I'd like whilst they are off from school. I know that's silly, they don't mind.

Scans due soon and my big 40th birthday coming up at the end of May- never thought I'd be in cancer land at this stage of my life and it never seems to end (collecting health conditions like others collect hobbies is a bit sad; before cancer I was really fit and well!) so it's all a bit much today. Am sure my poor nights sleep is the problem - deep breath and I'll just get on with it.

Sorry to moan although I do feel better for getting that out. The more I travel this road, the more it dawns on me people who don't live wth it daily, don't really get the ups and down's in the same way.
