For those of us with LARS, in my case not from stoma reversal, in case it makes a difference! As the symptoms are similar to a recurrence, what exactly should we be looking for?? Everything is subject to change without notice...Just wondering....!
Also wondering how common LARS is without having had a stoma? Anyone else here?
Hi Gemmary
LARS is common with a resection I believe that any bowel surgery can cause the bowel to react
Have you checked out
Living well with a stoma reversal or LARS
There’s lots of tips on diet and medication
I hope you find something useful

A recurrence of Cancer?
If you’ve had an operation for cancer then monitoring should pick it up but if you’re concerned that you have cancer it may be worthwhile contacting your team They could reassure you or scan
I didn’t have LARS symptoms before I had my resection and Ileostomy’s reversal so I didn’t think it was a return of cancer
The link I have attached is a separate section of this stoma support group
Sorry I’m no help
Ann
