Hi I'm glad to be able to join the group I've had my colostomy for about 8 weeks and I've seen the stoma nurse once since having it done .the problem I'm having is with pancaking I think I've tried everything I can think of to stop the problem but still no joy
Lubricating the bag
Blowing air in the bag
Dropping a roll up piece of tissue
Blocking up the filter and I've even tried several different types of bags any advice would be appreciated.
Hi I start my chemo on Thursday so I know that will change the stoma output and the consultant told me that he can't do a reversal so I wanted the colostomy and the bags to be working as best as it could I'm not sure how I would feel if I can never get it to work properly.
