Hello, everyone. I am an ovarian cancer person on her first recurrence. The tumour is contained within my abdominal cavity and hopefully can all be removed. I will then have a colostomy but seems like a small price to pay, not that I’m looking forward to it but needs must, eh?
Hello again @Sylvtheclaret
Glad to see you have found us here in the group where you’ll hopefully have lots of advice and support when you need it. The thought of the surgery itself is scary, but many of us are living happily with different types of stomas and can attest to a good quality of life afterwards. The thought is often worse than the reality, and hopefully you’ll soon get into the way of living with and managing your colostomy.
Sarah xx
