I have been living with a colostomy since May 21, I've been told it's permanent so I've got it for life.
I joined this forum because I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I was thinking about looking for a stoma support group before I found the lump in my breast as I don't know anybody who has one. It will be good to talk to people who do have a stoma.
Hello Unagh
Im pleased you’ve found this group as I found so much advice and support here when I had my Ileostomy.
There’s lots of members here that can give tips and support
Having a breast cancer diagnosed is awful Im sorry. There’s a group here too.
If you need any help with your stoma shout out
Sending you a hug
Ann
Hi Unagh and welcome
I’ve had a permanent colostomy since March 2020, and you’ll find lots of help and support for anything you need in relation to stomas from everyone in this group. I’m sorry to hear you have had a breast cancer diagnosis, but you my find it helpful to join the breast cancer group within the community too, so that you can ask questions and speak to others with the same diagnosis.
