I have had my ileostomy 9 mos between Sept. 2017 and August 2019. Since that August date, I have been full time. I am a grateful stomite!
Just recently, I am experiencing leakage, primarily my blue, stains your clothes badly, effective for years now, deodorizer liquid. I have called and discussed this issue w my bag supplier and my deodorizer maker. No one has a clue. I dare not wear light colors to work. I sleep on a bed w a large pad underneath and buy my sleep wear at Goodwill.
This has not been an issue in past years AT ALL. None of the suppliers have a clue. I just wondered if my experienced stoma peers had encountered such issues. I can wear a bag several days w out a need to replace but the leakage often starts first day. I rinse my bag out w water everyone I empty and wipe any and all residue remaining bf adding deodorizer and rolling back up. TY in advance for sharing.

Do you fill the bag with water up to your stoma ?
I too wash out but I don’t use deodorant and I don’t allow the water too high as I’ve noticed the plate can get wet around the stoma.
I would try applying new bag I use convex as I’ve found them better to get Whoopi to put the output where it should and not use the deodorant. I think the deodorant is oily and by washing out you may be putting the deodorant up behind the adhesive and skin. Or use the deodorant but don’t wash out. The deodorant should make the output slide out like baby oil does.
It’s worth a try.
