My husband needed to have a CT Colonosvopy as the colonoscopy could not get past his tumour.
He has a stoma from an ileostomy.
He was sent by the surgeon for the test but the radiography department say they can’t do it as they cannot inflate his colon with air when there is no where for it to escape from.
Any ideas?
Has anyone had a CT Colonoscopy when they have an ileostomy stoma?
I didnt have sedation when I had the original colonoscopy,(the diagnosis one) so never thought I would need it .I just had a bit of gas and air but didnt need it really.

I had a CT scan 1st November - refused the canula, but drank the liquid. So, now it's just a case of waiting, again, for the results!
I don't think I could cope with chemo - losing my hair etc.
So many people I know have had chemo, suffered like hell, but still died - is it worth it?

Aw fatz
So much to think about. Get yourself a bar of chocolate and a good film
You don’t have to have chemo. My sister-in-law refused it and is plodding on. She didn’t feel strong enough for it. It’s not compulsory
Im not sure what I would have done with my bowel however after the lung op I would not have had it. I was too weak. Luckily they didn’t suggest it
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you
