hi looking for some information, going on holiday in two weeks time this time it’s with ileostomy different from my last holiday it’s was a stoma which i managed and it was February so this time hoping to be in the pool more , How many bags should I take ? Do I need to change it if I come out the pool and sit on the sun beds hoping to do a lot off that ! Do you think if I take three bags for every day !!
Hi Fraser
it’s lovely to hear that you’ve got a holiday booked where are you going?
Did you have a colostomy last time and now you have an Ileostomy?
As for packing I took hand luggage that fitted under my seat with three boxes and then two more in my hold suitcases Eakin slims 24 and everything I could think of. I was advised by SarahH21 whatever I thought double it. Ha ha. I came back with loads but I was super confident away for ten days
I wore black travelling out and had spare clothes just incase travelling I just drank water. My Ileostomy needed emptying every time I went to wee, I had no issues with it.
Have a wonderful time others will be along soon

Hi we are back off to Turkey two weeks tomorrow , just a bit worried about the bags not staying stuck after swimming last holiday I went in the pool once a day then changed my bag but hope will be able to get more swimming this time and it will be hotter only away for 7 days but I’ll take lots thanks
Hi Fraser1
I always think you can take home what you don’t use, but nothing is worse than not having enough! I take at least double what I normally would normally use for the period I am away, and my partner takes more. We put the supplies in hand luggage and have never run out yet! Even with my colostomy I can use more than 3 bags a day if I eat something that doesn’t agree with me, but I have a urostomy too, so it’s more stuff to think about. I know it might be different with the ileostomy, but the bags don’t take up much space.
Hope you have a lovely time and get plenty of swimming done!

Hi I took the extension strips when I went to Ireland to see my grandchildren and survived an obstacle course and trampoline with them. I stuck it well on.
My son even hugged me really hard just to see if he could pop it. I expected that from him and I said you can squeeze me all you like Whoopis going nowhere
We had such fun though my skin was a little sore afterwards. Worth it though
Enjoy your holiday
